Appel à communications: Patrimoine culturel : nouveaux risques, nouvelles réponses

Colloque de la direction générale des Patrimoines du ministère de la Culture, en partenariat avec l’Institut national du patrimoine et le CNRS

La manifestation portera sur les « nouveaux » risques pesant sur le patrimoine, entendu au sens le plus large, incluant ses dimensions matérielle, immatérielle, numérique et naturelle. Elle traitera des risques qui sont apparus ou se sont renforcés depuis le début du siècle, résultant de catastrophes naturelles ou de facteurs anthropiques − intentionnels ou non −, sur leur accélération, leur accumulation, leur convergence, ainsi que sur les réponses apportées aujourd’hui par la communauté des professionnels et plus largement, par l’ensemble des acteurs du patrimoine culturel.

Calendrier
Les propositions de communication doivent être envoyées avant le 30 mai 2020.

Elles se présenteront sous la forme d’un texte de 1000/1500 signes.

China-South Africa Ethnic Cultural Exchange Workshop at Yunnan University, China in December, 2019

In order to continue the success of the 2018 China-Africa Workshop on the Protection and Inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage , Yunnan University held the 2019 China-South Africa Ethnic Cultural Exchange Workshop from 14 to 20th of December, 2019. This Workshop was supported by the Ministry of Education, China and organised by the Cultural Development Institute of Yunnan University and the Research Centre for China-South Africa Peopleto- People Exchanges, Yunnan University. As an Expert Member of the ICICH of ICOMOS, Associate Professor Dr. Junjie SU acted as the Convener of the Workshop.

14 South African artists and scholars attended this workshop, including those from University of Stellenbosch, University of Johannesburg, Durban University of Technology, The University of Cape Town and South African National Gallery. Among other Chinese scholars and experts, Director Guo Hong of China-Africa Institute attended the Workshop. The Workshop was themed on Exchange and Mutual Learning, Sharing and Collaborative Creation. Through activities such as forum, workshop and visits, this Workshop aims to enable Chinese and South African intangible cultural heritage practitioners, artists, scholars, experts and officials to exchange and work together in regard to the protection, use and creative use of ethnic culture, arts, and intangible cultural heritage.

Special Coverage: World Heritage Day, 18 April 2020

This year’s International Day for Monuments and Sites took place against an historical backdrop that posed new challenges for celebrations. The theme, “Shared Cultures, Shared Heritage, Shared Responsibility,” invited participants to explore the idea of sharing—and its counterpoints, contestation and resistance. For those living in areas under quarantine or social distancing protocols, virtual celebrations through digital tools and social media brought sharing to the fore in a new way. World Heritage Day 2020 ICOMOS-INDIA, by Ananya Bhattacharya

Worldwide the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the cultural heritage sector. A cross section of professionals came together  to raise important questions which need to be considered for exploring the way forward in a webinar titled “Heritage at Cross Roads: Shared Responsibilities”. The program was live streamed in the Facebook page of the event partner Alliance francaise du Bengale and reached out to 3000+ people.
