Dear Colleagues,
The ICOMOS Poland in cooperation with ICOMOS International is organizing a
seminary under the title “Cooperation needs and opportunities for ICOMOS National
Committees of East and Central Europe countries”. The main topic of our discussion
will be the sub-regional cooperation of Central and Eastern European countries on
protection of the most valuable heritage – the national Tentative Lists and
management of the World Heritage Sites. We expect to hold a discussion on
cooperation in preparing nominations on World Heritage List, opportunities for
organizing training courses and research programmes, applying for European Union
grants, etc.
The seminar will take place alongside the scientific conference “Teaching and
promoting heritage protection” taking place from 5 December 2013 to 6 December
2013 in The Royal Castle in Warsaw.
We would like to invite the representatives of ICOMOS National Committees from
Central and East Europe to participate in the seminary and the conference. There is
a possibility of covering expenses of your stay in Warsaw and to partially fund your
travel costs.
ICOMOS Committees interested in taking part are kindly requested to send an
information no later than to 12 October 2013 to the following e-mail address:
a.jarocka@pollub.pl
We are looking forward to seeing you.
Best regards
Bogusław Szmygin
ICOMOS Poland President
